Overview

This trek fulfills a section of the popular and rugged trail towards Everest Base Camp. Starting from Lukla, you'll climb through the forested Dudh Kosi valley to reach Namche Bazaar, a famous trading village between Tibet and Nepal. You'll learn about Sherpa culture along the way, culminating with the holy village of Tengboche.

Itinerary

Once you land in Kathmandu airport, the member from our team will come to greet you and transfer you to the hotel.

• Transfer to hotel.
• Short preliminary briefing.
• Arriving early gives you an opportunity to explore Kathmandu.
• Welcome dinner and getting to know each other.

One day Kathmandu valley tour will give you the best experience of the local Kathmandu day along with the group leader.

• Breakfast depending on your choice and preference.
• Meet-up at 9 am for the tour.
• Visit to Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath.
• Lunch on your preference.
• Getting together for trek briefing as per the time given by your leader.

This 3/4 hours easy walk on the legendary trekking trail through the cultured Sherpa villages with its exceptional beauty and the view of stunning landscape, deep valley and Dudh Koshi gorge is unique.

Today we will start early for Namche Bazaar, the capital and the Administrative Center of the Khumbu district. It’s more of a luxurious city in the middle of no way in the midst of remoteness and thin air. Despite long hours walk it’s far more than just trekking. Give time to adapt your body with thin air. It’s not a matter about proving your physical strength, its more about taking pleasure with steady ascend.

• Walk to Syangbuche, one of the enchanting place in the region with the world’s highest airstrip.
• The close view of the magnificent mountain, extensive green hills, the Tibetan Buddhist culture and to witness the territory of the yaks is charismatic

After breakfast in Namche, you’ll follow the trail along the side of the valley high above the Dudh Kosi River. You’ll get your first views of the Khumbu region’s giant peaks: Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Pass by several villages and numerous tea shops, and descend steeply to a bridge over the river at Phunki Tenga. The village is an ideal stopover for lunch and you can rest before making the steep climb to Tengboche.

Although this next zigzag path is tiring, your views will include beautiful rhododendron forests, colorful birds, and superb mountain scenery. Tengboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in Khumbu, and a spectacular panorama of the aforementioned peaks can be seen from where you’ll stop for the night.

After breakfast in Tengboche, you’ll return to Namche Bazaar and stay overnight in one of the most beautiful valleys in the mountains.

The trek from Namche to Lukla will we a long day of trek downhill. The route takes you steeply down along the Dudh Kosi River.

After breakfast in Lukla, you’ll take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and will be able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening at your leisure. Explore Kathmandu’s streets on foot, bicycle, or rickshaw, perhaps shopping for souvenirs or seeing anything you may have missed at the beginning of your trip.

In the evening, choose from a selection of Nepali, French, Vietnamese, and Middle Eastern dishes in Kathmandu.

It’s time to say farewell to Nepal. Enjoy your last moments in Kathmandu with breakfast in a café, a city stroll, and/or souvenir shopping. A representative will meet you at your hotel and drive you to the airport for your return flight home. It’s good to be at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure.
