The journey to the EBC trek begins with 40 minutes’ flight to Lukla from Kathmandu. You will begin the trek into the Solu Khumbu Region to Namche Bazaar (3,440m); the Sherpa capital of Nepal or also known as the gateway to Everest. In this small town, you will experience the beautiful scenery and the lifestyle of the locals. From Namche Bazaar, you will continue the trail trekking up to Tengboche, where you’ll come across an ancient Buddhist monastery. Then you’ll further continue your trek to Dingboche. As you’re slowly nearing your destination, the altitude, and the challenges increase. The efforts and dedication make this trek worth the time. The journey further continues to Lobuche given the spectacular views over the Himalayas. We finally reach the Everest Base Camp, the nearest you could ever be to Mt. Everest (8,848m) and back to Gorak Shep (5,185m). The next day we hike to Kala Patthar viewpoint (5,555m) where we can witness the sunrise on Mt. Everest and also view the Khumbu glacier. We trek back to Gorak Shep then to Pheriche and we descend to Namche Bazaar following to Lukla. Then we take the domestic flight back to Kathmandu.
